The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has released another timelapse video; back in April the cherry blossoms took center stage, and now the roses are under the sped-up spotlight.
The setting is the Cranford Rose Garden, and this month is Rose Month at the BBG -- the perfect time to stop and, you know, smell the blossoming petals.

Time lapse photography, however beautiful, is inherently malevolent. Anyone participating in its manufacture should kick some money towards a suicide hotline or spend a week volunteering in an assisted living facility.
I'm going to go hug someone I love now.
the cherry blossoms one is much better!
Sweet
Not as interesting to watch as the other one, but still pretty fun.
The most interesting thing is the small focal range set in the middle, which makes it look like the entire thing is done on some miniature set with ant-sized people (like the Adult Swim spots).

not a fan of the focus, was this done w/ a tilt shift? if it was they could have at least got the roses in focus, would preferred the shot @ f/8...
Filthy rose pornography needs to be taken off the internet. Shame on you, Gothamist for purveying this smut.
