The Mother is supposed to be a victim due to her drug addiction?!! The real problem is that anybody can make babies, regardless of how fkd or stupid they are...therefore more babies will be abused. AND even-though abuse might be a HUGE problem (a fact)it is not right!! not because something happens or is a "norm" of behavior for stupid people we should just sit back.

It's always hard to hear a child being abuse by there parents or guardian. The system will never change because the lack of our voices to change the Child Welfare System. It's a complicated matter in this world. We produce too many babies, but not enough good parents. Even a "Gay Couple" will have a difficult time adopting a child. The system would hand them over to a straight couple without the harsh process. This is nothing, compare to what we don't know around the world. This hurts because it was close to home and we did nothing to stop it again.

if you were to report child abuse in the projects then you'd be reporting practically 99% of all the families. It would be way too tiring. child abuse is the norm not the anomaly.

We must as residents of NYC and our smaller and larger communities open our eyes, and hearts to what is happening in our building, on our block or in our community and take action when necesary. Speak out and knock on a door, ask questions, call the police. Do not be a stranger in your own community. Events like this happen more than we think and we need to take care of one another especially the weaker and those that cannot help themselves.
