I know we all like to bust on Gore, but he did invent the Internet! Seriously though, he did do his part in facilitating Internet access as we know it today. That, and his recent efforts in raising awareness about global warming has earned my admiration.

The next Supreme Court appointments aren't all that important. Bush has already stacked the bench with younger conservatives who have the majority. It'll take a while for them to die off or retire. Even old-timer Scalia won't be gone soon. He can't have heart problems because he doesn't have a heart.

Why in hell would Gore consider the VP position? He's won an oscar and a nobel peace prize, and is considered the hip elder statesman of the Democratic party. Being VP will just lower his status, and besides he's already done that.

"What is the point of endorsing after the nomination is clinched?" Catch 22. He really wanted to endorse Obama but an endorsement during the Primaries would have been a major snub to Billary. This was the best course of action Gore could take.
