  • Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: a water main break on 96th St. and Lexington Ave. in Manhattan, a gas leak on Lafayette Ave. and the Cross Bronx Expressway in the Bronx, and a collapse on Elton St. in Brooklyn.
  • The New York Times did a difficult and good job of painting thousands of Portraits of Grief following 9/11. It added another face to that tableau this week.

  • Chien-Ming Wang is out for six weeks with an injury to his foot. Stupid inter-league play!
  • Nymeen Cheatham and Lemar Martin have been charged with the murder of Kyle Smith.

These guys are great fun to watch - I caught a couple of their games in Central Park a few weekends back, and watched them play each game by different rules from different years. Their website is 19th Century baseball.

These nouveau rich Long Island McMansion owners need to realize they need to fence the property in with a Gothic wrought iron fence and keep several mastiffs on the property that are fed at irregular intervals.
Then the only place you will find the "Ninja" will be in bits and pieces in their Fido's scat.
