Today, between noon and 4 p.m., the visitors to Central Park will be able to enjoy a 70-foot water slide, rock climbing, kayaking in Bethesda Terrace Lake and much more, thanks to the Parks Department's Adventures NYC event.

Here are some of the other activities and demos: Pro BMX Bike competition on a Red Bull megaramp; High flying trampoline demo; Boot Camp obstacle courses; Yoga Clinics and Arts & crafts. Plus, the first 1,500 participants will be given a free bicycle helmet courtesy of NYC Department of Transportation.

The event is free and takes place mid-park, at 72nd Street. And here are more events happening all over the city this weekend.
