Salt Lick, always one of my favorites for delicious brisket, ran out VERY early on Sunday; by 3PM; festival only ran from 12-6 PM; Uber Disappointed; Also Fast pass was not so 'fast' for most places; just a very slightly shorter line in the back.

I also went yesterday, I had a good time forgetting that I was in the middle of NYC for a little. I had some good food, I knew it was going to be expensive if you wanted to try more then one restaurant's food but we made a day out of it and had a great time.

went yesterday. huge crowds, huge waiting lines (without the $100 pass). Food, not worth it. I went to Georgia's East Side BBQ in LES to satisfy my craving. If it's anything like it was on Saturday, save yourself the hassle.

tried everything yesterday and it was totally underwhelming. blue smoke was well cooked but lacked some flavor. the brunswick stew was pretty interesting but needed a bit of salt. btw, dont bother getting any of the beers cause you cant take it out of the park and you can all of the brands at any other bar. better to get the food and drink somewhere else. fast pass saves a ton of time! you can buy a cheap pass from someone and and just pay cash at the register.

I went on Saturday and tried 2 places for their $8 plates. For BLUE SMOKE you got 2 ribs, a slice of potato bread (not homemade) and some cole slaw. Not enough food for the price tag. From SALT LICK you got a brisket sandwich and a piece of sausage. Actually very filling and satisfying. Some nice pieces of meat. Worth $8.

BBQ seem to be getting big in NYC. I'm sure is has for awhile. Nevertheless I can only think of the cows on the old el paso commercial going "mooo-york city?"
