One of the city's biggest parades will attract millions of revelers tomorrow: The 51st National Puerto Rican Parade starts at 11 a.m., with the parade route beginning on Fifth Avenue at 44th Street and traveling north to 86th Street.

The parade's producer Carlos Valasquez told amNew York one hundred musicians will perform, "We have music for all tastes. Teenagers will enjoy reggaeton and we have salsa music for the 40-year-olds. As Puerto Ricans, we are all-inclusive." Labor leader Dennis Rivera is the Grand Marshal, and other celebrities attending include Geraldo Rivera, singer Frankie Negron, musician Tito Puente, Jr., singer Willy Chirino, rapper Fat Joe and chef Elsie Ramos.

AMNY also has some tips on where to get Puerto Rican food. The Top Chef finale is in Puerto Rico, and here are some recipes from the part one episode that aired last week.

and tensions will nice and ripe with this weather.
i plan on taking some photos...

Good luck hanging in the 100 degree weather. That's a recipe for disaster. Ugh! Kind of a bummer.

It's a beautiful day for a parade! And don't forget your taser!

Looks like I'll be staying indoors tomorrow. Boricua!

PR Rum for everyone!

(Just no grabbing the ladies asses like that one year)

Ahh, the annual Could Break Into A Riot At Any Time Parade, my favorite!

What is the over/under on shootings?

Bingo, stop embarrassing yourself, you're not helping the matter you're just perpetuating the stereotype.

This is coming from a Dominican.

Then again, what else can be expected from the ghetto trash?

Its a shame
been said before
that a minority of the people looking to have some fun ruin it for the rest
people up here in span harlem pretty much chill out drinking outside all day and having a good time
I'll skip it, just like St Pats- too many amateurs

It's that time of year when parents dress their little ones up like prostitutes. I call it the muffin top parade.

A little water in the right places can make for a [ahem] interesting parade.
Some of the best booty-watching in New York ... !ay caramba!

yikes! im staying indoors!

Why aren't GLID, Stonewall, Tom Duane, Deborah Glick, Danny 0'donnell, Christine Quinn and the rest of the gay Harpies protesting the EXCLUSION of gays in this parade.

I guess there is no Catholic Cardinal for these two-bit political phonies to embarrass and get cheap publicity from.

Someone should warn all the unsuspecting tourists--especially women who are in danger of being sexually molested by roving mobs.

This has got to be the worst parade in NYC and maybe even the US. I have a suggestion: confine this "parade" to the Bronx. Then the participants wouldn't have to travel to the City.

This parade is an excellent opportunity to get rid of all the pennies and loose change cluttering your life.

Re: #18

Likewise with every other parade. Let the Indian Day Parade go through Jackson Heights or the Columbus Day Parade through Bay Ridge.

The West Indian Day Parade organizers got it right when they chose Eastern Parkway. Celebrating the Caribbean in the heart of Caribbean NYC.

Yeah, and let hedge fund managers parade down Fifth Avenue for their annual Hedge Fund Pride Parade.

Once again the racist comments. Now will anyone take a look at this and see why we still have racism?
Because of the ignorant people in America that say they come over here for freedom
