Dude69 and Kissel... you might be (rightly) concerned about the economy and how Clinton or Obama would handle that... but don't you think the war has a huge effect on all that? With all the tax $ that's going towards the war rather than programs at home... If you don't want to see tax $ wasted, why would you vote for McCain who won't end the war in Iraq?

I kind of agree with dude69. I would have voted for clinton because i think she would have been better on economic issues - particularly if she tapped in the economic advisers of her husband. I will definitely vote for mcain over obama. we don't need higher taxes and more gov't handouts which he's already stated he would do.

babyhitler, You are correct. Bush also lacks refined public speaking abilities yet he won the presidency twice. I think people overlooked his obvious stupidity and were drawn to Bush's everyday man image. People felt that they could relate to Bush and wanted to have a beer with him and not with Kerry or Gore. So what's my point in attacking McCain's speaking abilities? Here it is, in all it's irrelevance to policy and things that SHOULD matter: Obama is a rock star. Obama is young, charming, positive, confident well-spoken and good-looking. McCain is old, waxy faced and gray-haired. McCain is bitter, awkward and often appears confused. I happen to think that Obama's policies and leadership style are much better for America than McCain's, BUT I think Obama's good-looks and charm are what will win the undecideds, push him over the edge, and make him the next POTUS.
