I have never understood the whole "something you have to do once" thing. I have no desire to go to a an overrated, overpriced, well past its heyday, tourist trap restaurant just because at some point back in the day, it was better. Life is short.

"what exactly is the allure of this place?" I heard it's something you have to do once. The location is wonderful but the restaurant itself hasn't been updated in 30 years and the service, food, and waitstaff are the epitomy of awful service. I seriously thought the whole thing was a scam.

what exactly is the allure of this place? i've been there, but haven't actually eaten there...we walked out because it only took a couple minutes to have a horrible experience.

I took my mom their last mother's day with my sister and cousin from England. The wine server, by the second course, was coked to his gills and hit on my cousin for 15 minutes until I told him to go away. What a dump.
