I watched the show and found it entertaining for the most part but spend $12 to see a movie version? Nah. I'm definitely going to be at the first showing of Dark Night though. I geek out over comic book movies not designer shoes. Maybe I'm not the typical NY woman.

Here's a vote from another NYC woman that doesn't see the appeal of this show/movie. Where are the spaceships, the car crashes, the robots, the dead bodies? Not to mention the show makes my friends think it's OK to spend $400 on a handbag. Who does that?

THERE'S BATMAN MOUNTAIN DEW? o_O Oh and add me to the list of women who doesn't get the appeal of this show. Does not speak to me at all. I hated going to school with girls like that, and I hated working with women like that. I sure as hell am not going to waste my downtime on tripe like this. If you're going to make an HBO series into a film, make it out of OZ or Rome.

I for one was glad to see women line-up in droves, buy tickets way in advance, sell-out midnight screenings and act like actual film nerds for once. I've never seen so many girls around my office geek out so hard over anything and I think they may finally understand why I will be wearing a cape while waiting in the ticket line days before The Dark Knight opens clutching my collectible Heath Ledger action figure, drinking Batman Mountain Dew and interupting every meeting with "WHY SO SERIOUS?!" at inappropriate times. Yeah, I'm sure they'll all get it now...

That Jezebel review hits the nail on the head: I found myself hating every single one of them: Idiotic, superficial Carrie; stuck-up, naggy perfectionist Charlotte; cold, ruthless Miranda and bitter, narcissisitic Samantha. The sequel should have the Sex and the City cougars meet up with the boys from Entourage. Not sure how they would pair up though.
