An Easy, Sunny Day

wxch_sfc060208.jpgSome days the weather forecast is pretty simple. Like today. Sunny, high in the upper 70s. Tomorrow's forecast is almost as simple: Mostly sunny and warmer, with a high in the mid 80s. The humidity will probably be on the rise tomorrow afternoon as the axis of high pressure moves eastward.

There's a chance of showers beginning late tomorrow night. The rain is more likely to occur on Wednesday, with a chance of showers and perhaps a thunderstorm that afternoon. The chilly weather of May appears to have disappeared with the new month as Wednesday's high will be around 80 degrees. Thursday is looking like a battle between sun and clouds. The sun should win out by Friday as the Bermuda High makes an appearance. That means next weekend could be sunny and mild with highs in the mid 80s.

Last month was on the cool side. Three days were more than ten degrees cooler than average. May was 2.5 degrees below normal. It was also a dry month. A hair over four inches of rain were recorded in Central Park. Normal rainfall for the month is 4.69 inches. The outlook for June is for near normal temperature and precipitation.
