Yeah you're right, the Giants would surely lose against such non US teams as the Lichtenstein Lightning, the Barcelona Knights or the Hong Kong Hawks. Those are some fearsome teams.

World champions?! Why stop with this planet, even if there is extraterrestrial life, no way could they beat the giants...so I think they are champions of the universe. Yes, I am being sarcastic. They won a league championship - not an international competition. Another example of america's "we are the world" thinking.

Awesome guys. Those rings might look more ridiculous on me than my dad's HS ring when I was six years old, but it's a bit of ostentation that is well deserved in my opinion. The Giants were the longest shot against a well-proven favorite, and they pulled out a win fantastically at the wire. Even if one is not a sports fan, it was one of NYC's better moments.
