i saw it thursday with a bunch of indy geeks. i thought it was like the 1st movie & it unapologetically incorporated elements that are near & dear to the creators.

so many things in the movie made no sense at all. but who cares. this movie isn't for you. it isn't for the old people who grew up on indiana. this indiana jones (like speed racer) is a kid's movie.

don't believe me? ask this guy.

Sounds entertaining, Pixie52, and leads me to an idea for the next sequel of both flicks: "Indiana Jones And The Temple Of The Cougars".

I saw War Inc. at Tribeca and I laughed my ass off!

I thought it was brilliant. I'll wait to see Indy when it comes on HBO. Ditto SATC.

It’s a deliriously dark comedy, and probably too out there for mainstream audiences and critics alike – the Times’s Stephen Holden speaks for the majority when he dismisses it as “sloppy.”

I haven't seen the movie, so can't comment on it, but wouldn't the audience that runs out to see this movie be the target audience, not a "mainstream" audience? I suppose for some movies, there is no difference between the target audience and a mainstream audience-- those are movies that are meant to appeal to a broad base -- like Indiana Jones, or Spiderman. Dark comedies aren't designed for mainstream audiences almost by definition.

Yeah, Harrison's looking a little old in that picture. It's depressing to realize that many college students today weren't even born when he last wore that jacket. Never mind when Karen Allen first played Marion.

Couldn't they cast someone younger as Indiana Jones? Maybe John McCain?
