THEATER: Think small this weekend with Great Small Works’ Eighth International Toy Theater Festival and Contemporary Toy Theater Museum. The title is the biggest thing about this celebration of all things diminutive, in which innovate theater-makers work with miniature materials that will be further dwarfed by the cavernous environs of St. Ann’s Warehouse (conveniently located near the Telectroscope and the Brooklyn Bridge, which is celebrating 125 years all weekend). With over 100 artists involved, there are a lot of little shows to choose from, so check out the full details here. – John Del Signore

THEATER:The Oedipus myth is pretty hardcore, what with all the father killing, mother banging and eye gouging, so it makes since that Pan Pan Theatre has paired the classic with plenty of hardcore punk. Their acclaimed outré take on the tragedy, Oedipus Loves You, reinvents Tiresias, the blind prophet, as a Freudian analyst and ex-Glam Rocker who encourages the Oedipus family to work through their "issues" in live music therapy sessions. Reviewing a Dublin performance, the Guardian said, "This is all both funny and intelligent, acknowledging the Oedipus story as the ur-text of modern Western civilization" – John Del Signore
