Police Brace for Potential Crown Heights Unrest
The police have increased their presence in Crown Heights after two incidents that have upset the black and Jewish communities and caused unrest between them. And many are recalling the summer of 1991, when the Crown Heights riots shook the city.
Last month, a 20-year-old black man, Andrew Charles, the son of a police officer, was attacked by a group of white men believed to be part of the Hasidic anti-crime patrol, Crown Heights Shmira. Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes said, "You can’t have a group, whether it’s the Bloods, Crips or Shmira, acting like vigilantes," which angered Jews.
Then last Friday, a 14-year-old Jewish teen Alon Sherman was beaten and robbed of his wallet, cell phone, watch and bike, seeming by a group of black teens in retaliation of Charles' attack. That has led to hundreds of Hasidic Jews protesting the Sherman's attack and Hynes' characterization of them.
Some black and Jewish Crown Heights residents told the Sun they think "officials are overreacting" with their rallies that attempt to ease racial tensions and, today, a 14-year-old was arrested for Sherman's beating. He will be charged as an adult.

We need a peace keeper and promoter like the Rev. Al Sharpton to go in and calm things down. He is good at keeping the peace and keeping the trouble makers in line. He is good and he will stop the bad jews from killing innocent people. Not all of the jews over there are bad but some do beat up on black kids and latinos for no darn reason. The point is we must get on without violence. I know Sen. Eric Adams carries a pistol but he cant stop the thugs because he is always with his lady friend and dont want to get her involved.
Where is Al Sharpton in these troubled times? He's kind of hanging low. The community needs men of his vision to stop the carnage before it begins.

I have always wondered about Schmira. Seems like vigilante justice to me too. When I lived in Williamsburg, I almost got run over by one of those guys who was speeding along in a minivan with a police-type light. Of course, had I been hit, I'm sure that the real police would have apprehended the perp. *rolls eyes*

Yeah, those Jewish security patrols are way out of hand. You can tell they commit so many crimes because of how many them are arrested every day for rape, theft, drug dealing and murder.
Oh, I forgot, the Jews control the media thats why we never hear about it.
And lets definitely bring in Sharpton - he can do another Freddy's Fashion Mart, scream "Jewish interlopers/diamond merchants" and maybe we can have some more arson.
(shhh, it's a plot by Jewish real estate developers to inspire people to riot and burn down their neighborhoods and make it cheaper for development...)

Many of those so called "security" do get arrested. They are very big sexual perverts and child molesters. I have seen many of them in the day time over at the Galaxy Motel and the Surfside Motel with the black and latina hookers with child porn. So dont go there like they are not criminals... they are worse in many cases then the ones they claim are no good.
Actually, I knew a girlfriend of a musician friend of mine who used to supplement her income by doing "massages" if you know what I mean. Her biggest clients were married Hasidic men. Agree with Bingo, let's not make this into a "which 'group' is more criminal than the other."
The point is that vigilantes are criminals - whether they ride around in vans and call themselves community patrols, or whether they rove in gangs. Let the police do their jobs. That's one of the reasons we pay taxes.
