Hillary wont concede until Michigan and Florida are resolved. She will rub shit in Howard Dean's face for being so partisan about her claims. This way she either forces a conjoined ticket or leaves the Democratic party begging for peace. It's her terms, or else. Her fat husband's handwriting is all over this.

McCain would like us to forget this: McCain lost some key states (Michigan, Massachusetts) and "won" with less than 40% in many others because Republican rules let the winner take all the delegates, even without a majority. If the rules party rules were reversed, Hillary would be gone and McCain would still be fighting Huckabee.

JHM- I agree. It just goes to show how fake she really is. However, NYers had to of known all along this was her intention. I wonder if people in the state feel betrayed after it has become so apparent that she is willing to do anything/turn into anything in an attempt to grab the nomination.

These two have turned this situation into such a joke. I love how a senator from New York, a state viewed a liberal bastion by those in the south/appalachia, has become the "voice" of "hard workin', blue collar worker." Give me a break, these two are so transparent it is sick.Let's be realistic. Hillary isn't really from New York. This state was a stepping stone for her all along, nothing more.

All I would like to know is why hasn't there been anyone from the media ask Hillary or Bubba about Hillary's previous signed agreement that she nor any of the other candidates would not recognize the votes from Michigan or Florida. In a vacuum, one might realistically consider HRC for the VP spot. However, there are a few real-life considerations: 1) I'm guessing that a good portion of the "base" of supporters would definitely be turned off by her selection, given all that's occurred; 2) His candidacy is based on the notion of doing things differently. Choosing HRC on the basis that she brings in the working-class white (really, Southern Democrat) and hispanic votes undermines that rationale; 3) A sufficient number of her supporters suggest that they will never vote for a black man for POTUS. Presumably, this also means that they won't vote for him even with her as a running mate; 4) Can you imagine how ineffective he'd actually be as POTUS with the Clintons running around in the White House? Talk about a back-stabbing crew. Obama-Clinton sounds great in concept but I'm not sure it would work at this point in the game.

Obama should really get off his high horse. He needs a running mate with demonstrated support from the people he can't attract, and Clinton can be that person. Offer her the VP nod now and maybe she'll stop beating up on you.

ugh "less than" 5 percent black - apparently, the less-than sign is perceived to be a command. Anyway, many of Oregon's residents lack advanced eductional attainment and few make above the national average in income...so, the whole assertion that Obama won't win blue collar whites is problematic, to say the least.

babyhitler, I find it odd that Obama won in Oregon which is like Also, there is *some* validity to your concern about the so-called black vote and relative lack of education. However, there is no assertion by the media that educated blacks (~20% of blacks vs. ~30% of whites vs ~50% of asians based on Census data) and uneducated blacks vote differently, which is a little offensive. Further, exit polls in WV and KY suggest that a large number of those supporting Clinton said that race was a factor in their decision-making process. This does not include the number of people who might say that religion or perceived religion is a factor (given the belief by some that Obama is a Muslim). I'd be interested to see if there's a poll suggesting the blacks vote based on racial preference. If that's the case, then Al Sharpton's bid should have done much better than it did - and Obama would have had much greater black support than he did in the early stages of the race.

Overall, I really wish there was an IQ test that you had to pass in order to qualify to vote. As well as a test that determines whether you even know what the issues are beyond "I like that guy." Pure democracy can only promise constant mediocrity, the way we have it set up. When 1/3 of the voters in West Virginia have minimal education, yet can help decide the future of our country, it's scary. And it helps explain why we're mired in Iraq.
