Turf war or nutjob? If the latter, then certain organizations need to be reminded that New York is already divided up - no need for freelancers or Johnny-come-latelies. If it's gang violence, then the police know where these gangs meet and what it is they do there. As far as I'm concerned, a street gang is equal to a terrorist organization and the laws that have been written to handle that crowd should be used to their fullest extent when dealing with fools who have nothing better to do than wear bandanas and act tough.

If not that then some off-duty cops need to get cracking. There are a lot of good places along the Belt Parkway where both whippets and humans can have their final rest.
