Video of the Day: NYU Graduate Tackled at Yankee Stadium
Here's what new NYU graduate William Lopez's run onto Yankee Stadium looked like. The crowd does seem to be cheering very heartily. [Thanks, Gerritsen Beach!]
Remember the Seinfeld episode where George tries to get fired from the Yankees with outrageous behavior like eating food over Babe Ruth's jersey and streaking across the field in a flesh colored-bodysuit? And for comparison, after the jump, here are videos of a fan running onto the field during a Red Sox-Yankees game two years ago:

They should have tazed his ass. Party's over, college boy! Now get a job.
Folks in the Village have to live with 40,000 of these jerks.
and we here on gothamist have to deal with you. ;)
It's kinda interesting to see the pattern of the security guards following the nutbar. I would say that's quite excessive. It's a friggin' graduation, not an actual game. Bunch of goons who feel like little men need to pull a full speed tackle on a guy... really pretty stupid.
NYU graduation. When students graduate from a childhood of spending their rich parents money to an adulthood of spending their rich parents money.
But not before they make a fucking film about it. Look out, Sundance, here comes another semi-load of fake white urban angst.
Frankly, I thought they let him off easy.
Welcome to the real NYC, asshole. Now go home.
it would have been awesome if an umpire jumped out of the stands and called him out.
hmmm... now there's an idea for improveeverywhere...
i wish they held him down and gave him a pearl necklace.
The 2nd Video was great. The security guy came out from the left like whoa and knocked the shit out of him. Compared with that vid, the NYU brat got off easy.
Yeah, stupid NYU students! Going to school and graduating and trying to get jobs! Jerks!
Another "art" student. "My running was an homage to the zeitgeist of our..."
