Here's what new NYU graduate William Lopez's run onto Yankee Stadium looked like. The crowd does seem to be cheering very heartily. [Thanks, Gerritsen Beach!]

The 2nd Video was great. The security guy came out from the left like whoa and knocked the shit out of him. Compared with that vid, the NYU brat got off easy.

I would say that's quite excessive. It's a friggin' graduation, not an actual game. Bunch of goons who feel like little men need to pull a full speed tackle on a guy... really pretty stupid.
