spiritross - raccoons are sometimes active during the day and a raccoon seen in daylight does not automatically mean rabies... it's misinformation like this that led the cops to over-tranquilize it and kill it for no good reason. if it was foaming of the mouth or stumbling around that would be one thing, but it looks like it was just scared and up a tree.

I put some shirts out to dry on my fire escape last year and a raccoon stole them. then it about killed my cats. fun stuff.

You can basically drink at the bar on the corner there, Phil Hughes, 24 hours a day. Also, good health food store across the street.

Yeah #4 (and FYI #1) Raccoons are nocturnal If a Raccoon is out in the daytime it means it is sick and possibly rabid Animal Control needs to contacted immediately for its safety and yours

raccoons don't get stuck in trees... they climb them to get away from assholes who like to take pictures.
