Woman Found Murdered in L.E.S. Parking Garage

Last night, a woman was found dead in a SUV which was parked on the second floor of an Essex Street parking garage. The woman, identified as 39-year-old Leonida Davila, was slashed in the throat. Her body was wrapped in a blanket, in the front passenger seat.

The Daily News says the car, a Chevy Suburban, is registered to Davila's estranged husband William Davila, who lives on Rutgers Street. The couple reportedly has a history of domestic violence incidents. He is now a "person of interest." He is described as being 5'6" and 160 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. People with information should call Crimestoppers at 800-577-TIPS.

Lower East Side residents expressed shock at the crime, which took place amid all the gentrification. One told NY1, "I am surprised because it's turned into a fairly safe neighborhood."

Whenever I read about these fatal attractions, I always wish more women would get over their intimidation of handguns and learn to shoot. The asshole would be history, she would be free, and society would have one less piece of garbage stinking up the joint.

why is that surprising? its not random violence. estranged lovers kill each other all the time in all sorts of neighborhoods. i swear the local news outlets always find the dumbest person in a ten block radius to get a quote from...

That ape looks like a pure thug. Nothing good about him at all. He probably tried to give the woman some rough gorilla sex in the garage before she pushed him away. I suspect the reason why she pushed him away was her period. This savage smelled the blood and went wild.
