A friend of mine plowed into two staggering drunks, killing one of them and then fled the scene. he turned himself in the next day and got 65 days in the lockup. This is very very common.

[8] What's your problem? How utterly presumptuous of you. I wouldn't need to turn myself in because 1) I wouldn't speed in a school zone and 2) I wouldn't have left the scene. He turned himself in almost certainly because he was afraid he was going to get caught anyway. If he was really a man, he would have stayed there or at least gone straight to a police station. Vomit all over yourself.
