I doubt a razor will "stab" anyone. What probably happened was a vital artery was severed by the razor, and Frazier probably bled to death.

More and more you see the fans replicating the behavior of the players. The NBA, like rap music, fosters a culture of aggression and hate toward one another that results in thugs getting worse and worse. Usually, they kill one another.

the claim of self defense is a defense to the charge, whether it applies to these facts will be for the jury/judge to decide. unless you are in your home, there is a duty to retreat. If the story is right, Frazier attacked Dunn, Dunn ran and Frazier chased him. Dunn then fought back with a razor. It sounds like Dunn retreated before using the razor, so he probably has a decent claim to self-defense. The biggest problem for him will be showing that Frazier hitting him with a bottle was deadly force. Also, possession of a razor with intent to use it unlawfully against another is a class A misdemeanor in NY... so that also might pose a problem. The fact that Frazier was diagnosed as depressed and schizophrenic probably will work to Dunn's favor.

#1, I'm no lawyer, but as I understand it, if you have a weapon and your attacker does not, 'self-defense' is a tougher claim. If he still had the bottle in his hand, maybe, but it sounds like he was unarmed, even though he was beating the crap out of his friend.

I'm no lawyer, but if Frazier smashed Dunn in the head with a bottle, and then proceded to chase him, why is Dunn being charged with manslaughter/assault? At the point isn't it self defense?
