The crowd pic on the Big Apple BBQ website doesn't make me eager to attend--it just looks like a mass of people and not enough booths. No one is eating, either.

What you see in the photo is Ed Mitchell(left side) of Wilson NC smoking "Whole pig BBQ" he is recently out of jail in NC for tax evasion but makes plenty $$$$$$ here yum yum. If you are so inclined to eat piggies.He has won several BBQ pitmaster awards.

I went last year without a speed pass and still loved it. Just go and don't have your heart set on any certain one and just hop in whatever has the shortest line.

Used a Fast Pass last year and had no problems. It was a great time! I do recommend getting there early rather than late though. Prime park space goes fast.

More like Big Apple Cluster F$%k. Every time I've tried to go (two years in a row) it's been so crowded that I walked away, tail between legs, and went to Live Bait on 23rd St. That place stinks, by the way. If you want good food and a good vibe go to Dinosaur BBQ.
