Okay, I went through the Sharpton user's history, and I guess he's been around for a bit. My bad, I guess. I wasn't that familiar, as I haven't been posting here very long. Although I still don't think he's the target of the "Where's Al Sharpton" comments.

I've only seen the Al Sharpton commenter post once or twice in all of these recent articles. And I'm pretty sure it's been in response to all the unnecessary baiting of "where's Sharpton" and "reverse racism" from these guys.

Uhhhh... ya know... I suspect that the Al Sharpton invoked here (and somewhat regularly in context to racial stories) is a reference to the "Al Sharpton" who's a Gothamist commenter. Try to have a little sense of (at least) irony here, people, since your sense(s) of humor are, apparently, non-existent when/if ever applied to real-life scenarios. You likely think that "Baby Hitler" is Adolf's 2nd cousin, too.

Hey, Subway Shooter. Sharpton is not the King of Black People. And if his name isn't in the article, then he has no relevance to the issue. He's just one loudmouth who pops up on occasion in an endless sea of racially-charged incidents. We could discuss the issue of racial divide like adults here, rather than invoking the same name over and over again as a condemnation of black communities and activism. But whatever. Maybe the next time a black person gets assaulted and must defend him or herself from white robbers, we should be asking where Bernhard Goetz is. Makes about as much fucking sense.

I amazed that the news is actually acknowledging racism towards white people, I like it. I mean, it's nothing compared to what the reaction would be if the graffiti said Jump Black People, but it's a start. Now if only they'll start acknowleding black-on-white hate crimes...
