I can confirm - no one received any messages yesterday from the CUNY alert system. I only found out what happened when I asked a member of a news crew what was going on.

CCNY DOES have a text message alert system, im signed up for it and NO ONE I know recieved a message yesterday. The news said that the school was on lockdown....where the hell was my message?!?

Was this guy a student of Leonard Jeffries? I have someone that works for me who is taking a class with him, and twice a week I have to do my best to douse the hateful and inflammatory BS that Jeffries spews. "Jews" this, "fags" that, "white people" this etc., etc. to the point where it sounds like the only individuals that deserve to live are black men. It is incredibly disgusting, and the worst thing is that it is making an impression on this perfectly bright and intelligent guy. I'm sure it has made an impression on hundreds, maybe thousands of people before him as well. How can it not? Jeffries has the stamp of approval from City College and is preaching directly to people at a time in their lives when they are most receptive to radical ideas, including ones of extreme hate.
