Apparently the mayor likes to hang out in a big crotch outdoors. George Michael beware!

If our government was getting less money then maybe they could be more useful with the money they have instead of wasting it. Are you not capable of understanding the news? Since the Reagan tax cuts nearly 30 years ago, the Republicans have had NO PROBLEM spending money, multiplying the federal debt and passing the debt to the next generations

Who said Republicans? I'm talking about the government as a whole.

Say if we do finally cut our dependence on oil, what's going to happen to the oil companies? Will they let this happen?

While I disagree that people actually do want to spend more on gas, I do agree that they aren't generally helping themselves with the cars many of them are buying. I also agree that a gas tax "holiday" is an horrific idea both at the state and federal level (and is just a ploy for votes by certain of the candidates). This country really can't afford to have less money coming in, and if the state cuts gas taxes, I'm willing to bet it's just going to be asking the federal government for more money. We need to be slightly more concerned than we are regarding the huge debt we have and the fact that China is the one buying it. They will literally own us.

Rant over.

He's right about the idea of a gas tax break. Dumbest thing I've ever heard either.

If people wanted to spend LESS money on gas they wouldn't be buying up these huge, dumb trucks that they have the nerve to call "SUVs". People want to spend MORE on gas. It's our elected leaders job to provide sensible alternatives.
