Girls Gone Wild Says Ashley Dupré Was 18 in Video
Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis answered a $10 million lawsuit by releasing a video showing Ashley Dupre giving an assumed name AND claiming she was 18. Dupré, the hooker made notorious because of her connection with former Governor Spitzer, had sued GGW for the millions, claiming she was underage in a video the company released shortly after the Spitzer scandal broke.
Here's how AP describes the new video:
In the new release, Dupre appears covered by a terrycloth towel and gives her name as Amber Arpaio. An unseen questioner asks if she is 18.Amber Arpaio = The GGW girl's McLovin!"Yes I am," Dupre answers in a strong Southern accent.
"Do you know what 'Girls Gone Wild' is?" the questioner asks.
"Yes I do," she replies with a laugh.
"Can I use this on 'Girls Gone Wild'?" she is asked.
"Of course you can," Dupre answers.
The video also displays a New Jersey driver's license with the Amber Arpaio name and a birth date that would have made her appear to be in her 20s.
Dupre's representatives had no comment. And if you look at the GGW website's contact area, you'll see an explanation that GGW is compliant with only using actors, models, actresses, and other persons who are at least 18 years old (Francis was nailed for using minors in the videos).

Joe Francis may be a scumbag but he knows how to cover his ass. Guess she blacked out and forgot about this part of the video?
I'm not fond of this Joe Francis character but this is just another example of young stupid girls trying to blame someone else for their ignorance when it comes to making mature adult decisions. Joe has made millions off GGW but this wouldn't have happen if these girls wouldn't agree to do it. So I can't be mad at Joe, he's not forcing this girls to act a fool and get naked on film. When these girls get older and start raising a family with children, their wild and crazy naked stunts are still forever captured on dvd. Imagine the son or daughter of a GGW girl watching a dvd years from now and saying, "Mom, is that you sucking beer off that man's penis?"
Yeah, Joe Francis is a Grade-A scumbag, but these girls know what they're doing.

I'd say, more accurately, that this is a case of a deeply cynical person trying to get more money out of a transaction she made in the past. Joe Francis is cashing in now that this woman is infamous, and she wants a piece of the action.
An intelligent judge or jury would screw both of them - cease and desist, Joe Francis, but Ashley is entitled to no damages. (She is, after all, a whore, so what's the difference.)
Francis may win this one in the court of public opinion, but I think it's a tough sell if she really was under age no matter what she said or did. If I bang a 15-year-old girl who says she's 22 I'm probably still going to prison even if she says it on videotape and shows fake ID.

I sure wish Dupree or whatever her name is would stay with just one name, it's getting very confusing trying to follow these stories.

If she was underage in that video (no matter what she said or the fake id she provided) then Francis is screwed.
