Rapper Papoose Duped Bed-Stuy EMTs

Last week a video by rapper Papoose surfaced, showing a Bed-Stuy volunteer ambulance along with volunteer EMTs attending to a dying man on the street. The taxpayer funded B.S.V.A.C. was allocated $135K last year, and not to waste time hanging out on video sets. But it turns out the EMTs were duped into being in the video; The Daily News reports:

"Ambulance" opens with a gunshot and a piercing scream, then shows two paramedics frantically working on a bleeding man in an ambulance.

Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance Corp. founder Rocky Robinson, says rapper Papoose, whose real name is Shamele Mackie, snookered him into allowing an ambulance and his paramedics to be part of the project.

"His people told us the video would be about the neighborhood and how we respond to save lives," Robinson said. "We don't want to be a part of something where somebody gets hurt."

Papoose, who is engaged to rapper Remy Ma and is planning their wedding while she is behind bars, can also plan on some legal repercussions for his act. Robinson says he'll be suing Papoose for what (little) he's worth.
