Am a neighbor myself - suffice to say the rooftop is in front of a LOT of the back ends of a lot of residential buildings. May throw water balloons full of over-priced Colt 45 on to the unsuspecting. Maybe not.

Studio B is no trouble at all. Everyone is always nice and in good spirits and I've never had to wait in line for more than 5 minutes.

Isn't this the shit Bloomberg was talking about RE: the DOB? I mean these fuckers at Studio B don't have a permit, get denied for a permit and yet STILL go ahead and build their roof top garden area!! The nerve! That place is a craphole. I went there for the first and last time to see a rock show while it was still cold out. We had tickets, but were made (along with everyone else) to stand in line BEHIND A DAMN VELVET ROPE for 30-45 minutes in the cold for no apparent reason. The bouncers were needlessly surly and ornery. It's not necessary to yell at a group of people - who are only standing outside because you are arbitrarily making them do so - who aren't causing any commotion but have slightly deviated from the single file nature of the line in the half hour of standing around you are forcing them to do. When we finally got inside, the beers were expensive, it looked like MTV Spring Break with a bunch of roped off VIP sections and multiple levels. Oh, and the drinks were extremely expensive. Off the charts for the warehouse district in Greenpoint. If you like to go to clubs in the west 20s with your dumb little B&T buddies, you will love this place. If you like to go to real, normal venues to see bands play music, don't waste your time. Should have known with a stupid-ass name like "Studio B".
