What is prohibiting them from just buying him out?Stubbornness? Seriously, if they were willing to shell out all the money like that, they would've done it during the season. They were waiting for him to resign so they wouldn't have to pay him, which he didn't, and they're not going to just buy him out now and leave him free and clear to go take another job.

JOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNN STARKS! Maybe he can run out and get DERR-ECK HARR-PER!!! while he's at it. This deal is a good one for all involved... Dolan gets to keep his favorite boy toy on the payroll, Walsh gets to keep him on a short leash (if he fired him then there's nothing to keep Isaiah from ringing up his ex players whenever he wants) and Isaish get to keep seeing Jimmy's band for free.

#1- yeah starks can teach the players to play hard in the regular season and choke in the playoffs. He couldn't be a coach cause he's got a 3rd grade education. We need the one guy that everyone respects and has never let the Knicks down: CHARLES OAKLEY! The Oakman would punch the shit out of any player that didn't respect the game.

Question: How could Isiah undermine the Knicks any more? Answer: By undermining the incoming coach. But remember, Larry Brown was ostensibly fired for having unauthorized contact with the press -- that was how the Knicks avoided paying him the full remaining amount of his contract. Setup?
