THEATER: Project Shaw’s mission is to present a different George Bernard Shaw play every month at the Players Club. (The man racked up 63 in his lifetime; not exactly a lightweight.) And producer/director David Staller has a knack for assembling great ensembles for these things, so expect more pizzazz than your average stage reading. Star Trek: Voyager vet Kate Mulgrew joins the project tonight for a reading of two Shaw one acts: The Fascinating Foundling and Farfetched Fables. The latter is narrated by TONY theater writer David Cote: “Starting in 1949 and jumping well into the future, we get a chance to see just how absurd we are in the present and how little we may change.” – John Del Signore
