THEATER:Project Shaw’s mission is to present a different George Bernard Shaw play every month at the Players Club. (The man racked up 63 in his lifetime; not exactly a lightweight.) And producer/director David Staller has a knack for assembling great ensembles for these things, so expect more pizzazz than your average stage reading. Star Trek: Voyager vet Kate Mulgrew joins the project tonight for a reading of two Shaw one acts: The Fascinating Foundling and Farfetched Fables. The latter is narrated by TONY theater writerDavid Cote: “Starting in 1949 and jumping well into the future, we get a chance to see just how absurd we are in the present and how little we may change.” – John Del Signore

MUSIC: If you missed out on tickets to see Zooey Deschanel crooning alongside M. Ward tonight, don't worry, it's been postponed anyway. Instead, head over to the Mercury Lounge for a more intimate eve of music. Peter Moren (of Peter, Bjorn & John), Tobias Froberg and Luke Temple take the stage for a full night of tunes that'll help you ease out of your Monday funk.
