Mr. Remy Ma Shoots Video Using Bed-Stuy Ambulance
Rapper Papoose better not follow in the footsteps of his lady love, Remy Ma, lest he find himself behind bars along with her. The rapper is feuding with another rapper, Uncle Murder, and has visually "brought it" in a new video for his song "Ambulance."
The song is about how Papoose is going to murder Uncle Murder, and if you take a look at the video you'll notice he's using a Bedford-Stuyvesant Volunteer Ambulance in it, with EMT's from the Ambulance Corp starring alongside him. The sticker on the side of the door states that the vehicle is recognized by the FDNY as an official 911 agency, so hopefully there weren't too many emergencies in Bed-Stuy that day!
A reader also points out, "the B.S.V.A.C. is in an impoverished area of Brooklyn where there is high crime, drugs, poverty, and a lack of role models. This is just what these kids need. A community ambulance staring in a rap video about shooting your rival." Watch the video here. We contacted the B.S.V.A.C. but they told us they had no idea what we were talking about and hung up.

Unbelievable foolishness.
"Uncle Murder?" "Papoose?" This whole thing reads like something Mad Magazine.
something out of Mad Magazine, I mean.
I prefer Stabmaster Arson myself, but I'm old school.
In so far as that video is a explicit threat to murder someone, the ambulance peeps got some spainin to do.
I can see this becoming a big scandal if some local church groups, city council people get turned on to it.
BTW that song blows.
What is Uncle Murder going to do in retaliation...molest Papoose after the next family BBQ?
Stabmaster Arson!
Genius!
Stab is such a great word.
Uncle Murdah McStabbyFace.
Impoverished with poverty? Really? Does this 'reader' actually live in this area of Bed-Stuy? Because I do. And while yes, some individuals are poor and yes, some of them are even black, this doesn't mean there's a lack of role models. There's community block meetings, impromptu gardens, street art, neighbors who often smile at you even if they don't know who you are. And who are "these kids"?
Generalization is an ugly thing. I agree with the point that the community ambulance shouldn't be encouraging this sort of statement, but the same could be said of an ambulance in Manhattan. Leave the skewed community view out of it.
lmao, how the hell did this make it to Gothamist? Brooklyn like Hoyt and Schemerhorn. Classic. I await Uncle Murdah's response.
what is a papoose?
Did not know ambulances could stare!
Stab Master Arson was one of the CB4 crew in the mockumentary of gangsta rap "CB4", released in 1993 and starring a very young Chris Rock. MC Gusto and Dead Mike were the other members of CB4.
These guys are idiots. Shame on them. Really.
As a rap fan, I gotta say this song blows. It makes 50 Cent look like a good rapper.
I sure wouldn't want to be in the back of that ambue-lance chuck.
Most ambulance services, including vollies, tend to have reserve rigs.
But were they reimbursed for the equipment used? Plus, shouldn't they be boarding that patient (alive and conscious, not serious airway problems seeing he only had on a non-rebreather). Sloppy job by both the rapper and the EMTS.
Kane,,,its a video..make believe!
As far as the comment about the community being all nicey nice with their "There's community block meetings, impromptu gardens, street art, neighbors who often smile at you even if they don't know who you are.".......all you have to do is look at todays map of events for the shootings that are in or around Bed-Stuy.
Granted there are pockets that are lovely. Tree lined streets, people that take pride of their blocks and dont forget the "hipsters" that are coming in. The kids from Iowa that cannot afford Bushberg.
How does it go.....Bed-Stuy do or die???
