Is that Siouxsie from the Banshees?

I was thinking the same thing.

JCB... certainly Capeman set a high standard. But understand, as big a bomb as it was, Moose Murders was worse. Remember, of the 14 performances, 13 were previews. There was barely anyone left in the house at the end of the opening. The writer, after drinking all night, wandered by the theater in the wee hours of the morning and saw his set already being dismantled.

The only thing that could make Capeman worse was the fact that it had A-List talent aboard, and, at Mr. Paul Simon's request, none of them were Broadway vets. So it was a farther fall.

I love when my hometown does something adventurous, for a change. I just read the actual NYT article and they performed it at the contemporary arts gallery, which is no joke the size of a large gallery here.

I thought the Dan Klores production of Paul Simon's "Capeman" was the biggest Broadway bomb ever. Or maybe it was just the biggest money loser.

Either way, the Times said about Capeman that "...it would take a hard-core sadist to derive pleasure from the sad, benumbed spectacle that finally opened last night at the Marquis Theater." And, "...the show registers as one solemn, helplessly confused drone. It's like watching a mortally wounded animal."
