Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: Three people stabbed at 2000 Valentine Ave. in the Bronx, a snake in a house on 58th Lane in Queens, and two people shot on 116th Rd. in Queens.
After police pulled over a car in Queens, one of the passengers got out and made a run for it, pausing to fire one shot at the cops. They returned fire and the 22-year-old was struck once in the arm and once in the leg.
Two teenage girls were injured and two teenaged boys were killed after the car they were in crashed while traveling more than 100 m.p.h. on the Pulaski Skyway. The two girls managed to climb from the burning car, a state trooper pulled the dead front seat passenger from the vehicle; and the driver was also declared dead and remained trapped in the burning car.
