"Phase 2" is absolute stupidity. 34th Street is a major cross street! Where will traffic be diverted to? Dumb.

34th street is bar far the worst of the crosstown streets. its quicker to walk from 2nd Ave to 9th Ave than taking the bus. if they would build a 34th/42nd Streets loop, i would cream my shorts!

I like it. Now build it already! Build something, anything. The DOT et al has been rambling about BRT for years so it's time to get the lead out, because every other big ticket, transit orientated, traffic mitigating project in this town is FUBAR.

This is a great idea. But they should consider light rail in a loop from 34th street connecting to 42nd street.
