Landor, that is so true. I got a starbucks gift card a few weeks ago and went there for the first time in years today. Practically every pastry there had nearly 500 calories. A sedentary, adult man should only have to eat 4 or 5 of those things a day to survive. I imagine they are perfectly ok for someone eating a continental breakfast - but I imagine most people didn't realize those pastries are meals in and of themselves.

I would have never guessed that Starbuck's Chocolate Sandcastle Donut has 480 frick'n calories: more than one quarter my recommended daily allowance. The posted nutrition info is very eye-opening.

I rather have information about what credit card interest rate I'm paying (hidden in the back of the bill and NOWHERE to be found on the card's website), the average price of my cell phone minutes etc etc etc. Oh and require banks to advertise how much they are ripping us off for atm fees. Have other people figured out you're better off using the Deli ATM if you can't find your bank?

About fuckin' time. This is what conservative ideology is about and is never practiced: consumers must have access to all information when they make a purchase, so they can make rational decisions. You'd be surprised how much damage a trip to Paul's will do to you,...although, great food.
