amazing, American Airlines can shut down operations for safety inspections but the DOB can't do it on a job with 36 safety violations.
Where's the mayor?

Man, is anything actually happening after all these accidents? Nice of Scott Stringer to take the opportunity to talk tough on construction companies in front of the media, but is he actually doing anything about it? I mean, I remember when the crane fell on 51st St. he said he had the construction company in his office that week for violations. So what the hell was the site doing still open if it was so bad they were in his office?

Rough being in construction right now - I guess NYC is still building unlike the rest of the country - not sure if it's a good thing given all the accidents lately.

thanks Channel 2 CBS news
thanks Channel 7 ABC news
thanks Channel 4 NBC news
Thanks channel 5 FOX news

you really really really needed to park between 67th & 68th street on the east side of the street and take 2 busstops and the no standing zone in front of a busy hospital

the ability to deliver news is that important so you can inconvenience those who need access to buses and hospital picks&drop offs

How exactly is greed to blame for the untimely death of this fellow?

A more relevant concern is that the safety equipment--the harness and shock-absorbing lanyard connected to the safety strap embedded in the concrete slab of the floor above--that's supposed to prevent tragedies like this failed with such disastrous results.
