No wonder Ortiz is having the worst start of his career. 3/43 .070 average 1 hr 3 rbi's

It's because his jersey was in Yankee stadium. I'm glad they found it cause now Ortiz will go back to his normal dominate self.

This can either psyche them out forever or just give them a scape goat for all future failures. Either way superstitions are childish and self-fulfilling.

My first thought when I saw these pictures was, are we sure that this isn't some prankster in Bean town having a laugh as this? This could well be the foundation of some new Walmart in Newham.

and why am I convinced this is a prank, cause no Yankee fan cement pourer ( or whatever they are called) would have let this happen. Surely someone would have seen this, and punched the guys lights out.

This is just another example of the Boston inferiority complex, that they have to create a curse. Guys, it happens when you sell off your franchise not when you put a kit in cement. city of pikies, Boston is.

"They envy the Yankees. They wish they were the Yankees.

shit, and how. they're even trying to put their own curses on us, now.

also, "the curse of big papi" is the stupidest name for anything ever created, ever.

Quenepa, that's my question, too! Now I'm wondering what is buried in the concrete everywhere (aside from Hoffa).

lol that's great lol I'm a Yankee fan too

On a serious note - does that affect the structural integrity of the cement?

This is pretty funny. It's also a story that will stay for the stadium for the next 100 years.
