- A Harlem building superintendent and two other men were arrested in connection with the death of a man they came upon urinating in a building's hallway. Upon discovery, an argument erupted, the urinator wound up tied up, then dead; and medical examiners are trying to determine the exact cause of his passing.
- When a student asked his teacher if he could have a bite of the pizza she was eating at a Bronx city school, the teacher responded by biting him on the shoulder.
- Four Bronx high school students are going to Berlin as one half of a foreign-study program created after video footage was released showing a German military officer egging his men on to fire their weapons by suggesting that they were shooting at black people in the Bronx.
