Rainy Weekend

wxch_sfc00411.jpgToday's weather word is rain. The chance of rain will start increasing in the mid-afternoon. The city should see a steady rain beginning this evening and lasting until tomorrow morning. Up to an inch of rain is possible.

That won't be the end of the rain either. There is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. Saturday's high may push close to 70.

More rain is possible tomorrow night as well as Sunday and Monday. The culprit responsible for the rain is the same storm that was responsible for tornadoes in Texas and snow on the northern Great Plains. Sunday's high will only be in the mid-50s and Monday will be cooler.

Clearing skies, and warmer temperatures, are expected by Tuesday.
