Aside from how much space they take up, they also might make navigating the sidewalks a bit tricky given they aren't very maneuverable. Yes, given that they aren't very maneuverable, it would indeed be tricky, especially when you have to walk on sidewalks in front of construction sites, where they make these little plywood tunnels to walk through single file. I wouldn't think they'd be very stable on one's shoulders, either. Is it just a strap going from the inside front and around the back of the neck? One gust of wind and the bubble's gone!

Why are people waiting for their Blade Runner umbrellas? I've had one for ages. Works great, and I get a lot of compliments. Just go to the Halloween store near Astor. Or if you're lazy, google "Blade Runner umbrella". I think the Nubrella looks stupid, but OTOH, short people can't poke me in the eye with pointy metal bits like normal umbrellas, so I'm all for other people owning them.

i work in the media and spoke with a friend and heard this guy has gone through 3 pr firms in a month and stiffed all of them. the rumor is there are no nubrellas available. people are buying them and not getting them. cause they dont exist past a few prototypes
