why did the budget grow another 6%?! These clowns cannot get spending under control (i.e salary cuts, service cuts and particularly personnel cuts - you know difficult things, not shuffling things around). They are taxing people and businesses out of the state at an alarming pace.

The Assembly didn't vote for congestion pricing because the Bush administration wants to end Federal funding for mass transit and highways and have the local governments pay for it or have it privatized. Maybe they should have voted to gain some closure? But, none the less, the Assembly did debate on congestion pricing and the outcome was it would not pass.

In the budget, New York wants online merchants who don't have a physical presence in the state to charge sales tax now eg amazon.com, buy.com, newegg.com. Is this really going to happen?
