Welcome to my nightmare, by Goggla at flickr
- Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: person struck by a train at East 138th St. and Grand Concourse in the Bronx, a wall collapse at 311 Franklin Ave. in Brooklyn, and the HSBC bank branch at 39th St. and 7th Ave. was robbed in Manhattan.
- Ming-Hui Yu's parents are crawling through the bureaucratic process of being able to travel from the People's Republic of China to the U.S. to claim their son's body. They're getting closer.
- The Queens livery driver who turned in a child he claimed was abandoned in his car's back seat won't face criminal charges.
- Café Gray at the Time Warner Center is closing after a slowdown in business during uncertain economic times.
- The NYPD will begin random steroid testing on officers this summer.
- A pair of NJ high school students are in trouble after a teacher found a "hit list" that included three students and a faculty member. The boys contend that the list was a joke because the top target was Chuck Norris, but school officials know that anything involving Chuck Norris is, by default, not a joke.
- Smart co-op boards have insulated themselves from economic downturns by excluding nouveau riche I-bankers and the like from their buildings. If you have to work long hours for a living, you are by definition a bad risk.
- This burned out wreck parked next to Red Hook's IKEA looks like it could use some Swedish interior sprucing up.

Oh Great! "pissy-'roid-withdrawal-cops"
Beijing is not Republic of China.
It seems that everyday someone gets hit by a train.
those kids will need 24-hour security if chuck finds out about this. and then, maybe, their death will be postponed by the five or so minutes it takes for chuck to kick their asses as he wistfully dreams of what could have been had he been huckabee's vice prez. what the hell is wrong with kids these days, trying to fuck with chuck norris?
Was Cafe Gray the one with the snooty service and mediocre food where they decided that they'd put the kitchen in front of the view of Columbus Circle and Central Park?
