dr zippy - The Ramones were Yankees fans. There was once a Yankees/Ramones logos mash-up shirt made - maybe about 15 yaers ago - I believe it was licensed and legit and all that. I'm still kicking myself or not buying it, and I'd kill to even see it again.

I wonder why the Mets didn't even consider a Ramones song. The band is from Queens, they were most influential in the New York music scene, and they have dozens of fast two-minute songs to choose from. Instead we have dreck from Bon Jovi, Billy Joel and the Rembrandts??? Come on, Fred Wilpon, you can do better than that!
