I see roxie fell for Goomba's shtick.

I agree with EastRiver, btw. Although, for a single woman in her 40's, she would have been restricted to adopting a baby from elsewhere which would probably cost as much as IVF.

*This is going against God. Pope should talk to this punta.

First of all it's puta not *punta...duh!! This only shows that you truly are uneducated. Look around our traditional nuclear family no longer exist. Applaud someone who chooses to become a mother and raise a child responsibly if she can. So Mr/Mrs Goomba how do you feel about mothers who have children "conventionally" and then leave them thrown in a trash bag? Congratulations to Ms. Katz for having the courage to stand against ignorant goomba's!!!

"I don't care that she did this by the way. I just don't see the point for your celebrating it. She reproduced. Big f@#king deal."

I have a feeling that people are also reacting positively to some of the stigma being eliminated surrounding single women choosing to have children independently. I know it has been around for awhile, but it is nice to see a somewhat high profile person talking about it publicly. It might help alleviate some of the stigma.

With all the horror stories we read about mistreatment of children, it's nice to have more responsible people bringing children into this world.

Huh? What would have been more impressive would have been adopting one of the unwanted and donating the tens of thousand of dollars she spent on in vitro to a charity.

I don't care that she did this by the way. I just don't see the point for your celebrating it. She reproduced. Big f@#king deal.

"Unmarried candidate's in vitro shock"

Is the Post kidding? IVF has been around for 30 years and 1 out of 4 kids in the US is being raised by a single parent. This is about as shocking as a below-average-temperature day in Spring.

I guess the billboard industry will be giving Katz so much money for supporting their legislation to introduce advertising on construction sheds that she feels she has enough money to raise a child comfortably.

Bravo.

There are plenty of single women and lesbian couples having babies by this method. With all the horror stories we read about mistreatment of children, it's nice to have more responsible people bringing children into this world.
