And when the hitting isn’t clicking you need great pitching and the Yankees didn’t get that Saturday as Andy Pettitte struggled in his return from the DL. Andy gave up eight hits and five runs in his season debut as he struggled all day. The Yankees will try and avoid being swept tomorrow afternoon.

Braves 11 Mets 5: John Maine didn’t have it and he wasn’t the only one. Mets’ pitching surrendered 15 hits and 11 runs as Atlanta took the first game of the season series.

Nets 99 Toronto 90: The Nets really needed this one and they used a big rally in the fourth quarter to get it. As usual, the two big guys led the way with Vince Carter scoring 32 and Richard Jefferson adding 28.
Rangers-Devils headed for a first round matchup: It all comes down to tomorrow afternoon for which team will have the home-ice advantage in the opening round.
