Let's celebrate Di Caprio's new crib! I'm swilling a Bellini and rubbing fresh gel into my receding hairline out of joy over his new home. We should all march arm in arm down to BPC to serenade the moving trucks and tie our good wishes to the nearest 'green' tree.

Forget floods. When the next decent earthquake hits (don't laugh, the experts say earthquakes aren't as rare and improbable in NYC as you think), the WTC construction landfill under BPC will undergo liquefaction and all those fancy buildings will just slide right into the Hudson.

You all sound pretty green yourself -- with envy, that is! BPC is the only waterfront neighborhood in the city that doesn't have a highway in front of it. I am looking out now on the river. It is SO QUIET. I can't hear the west side highway blocks behind me.

Because he can't muster the testosterone to grow a real mustache. If he just stopped with all the greasy kid stuff on his hair, half our oil problem would be solved. I have no idea why anyone thinks this guy is sexy, or even a capable actor. He looks like he's been on a week long binge, needs to be scrubbed with lye soap, and any role he's done, could've been handled a lot better by any freshman member of the drama club in my old junior high.

Yeah, All this douche does is fly 100 times a year and his carbon footprint is enormous. This is probably his fifth apartment too. This is the equivalent of a fat fuck gorging himself at Mcdonald's and then ordering a diet coke to make himself feel better.

It's not even a gesture. And yet, sadly, it's a waste of money. Precisely because it's occupied only by the well-off, Battery Park City is sterile and boring. Every inch of ground is under strict control. Meanwhile, the accompanying gentrification of lower Manhattan is scraping the nearby streets clean of every form of authentic life, unless you like bars packed with aging frat boys. Enjoy what's left, if anything, before it turns into another Soho.
