- A private jet arriving from Orlando, FL last night skidded off a runway at JFK after its landing gear collapsed. The resultant shutdown of the landing strip delayed flights for hours.
- A number of elementary students at a Bedford, NY school played an April Fools Day trick on their classmates by replacing the creamy filling of Oreo cookies with toothpaste. One student became ill after eating three of the Oreos.
- Air America on-air personality Randi Rhodes was suspended by the network after she referred to Hillary Clinton as a "f------ whore" during an network event.
- Starbucks has something planned for Bryant Park April 8th, but won't mention what it is other than repeated allusions to its bigness.
