Two objections: one, though Harlem may be majority black, the rezoning does not specifically target them. It's simply unfair to equate development with Jim Crowism, as there are other parts of the city where development is pushing out mostly white folks. Doesn't mean I'm for it, just that race hasn't much to do with it. Two, the story you linked to clearly says the truckers were protesting high gas prices, not congestion pricing. Oy.

fashion designers should put a bag over horseface sarah jessica parker's head, that would make her look better.

That story about truckers protesting congestion pricing is actually about them protesting gas prices. All I had to do to find that out was read the headline. Couldn't you or your editors do the same before reporting it?

Imagine a pro-Slavery Southerner from 1858 seeing 150 years into the future. Blacks calling each other "Nigger." Blacks shooting each other in public and refusing to help police apprehend the murderer. Damn.

Do you know gas prices are over $3.30 a gallon?

President Bush: I didn't know that.

"The "no-snitching" ethic is alive and well in Hempstead, LI."

Long Island, the new slum.

It's a little-known fact, but law enforcement does not have a legal obligation to protect citizens from possible harm. If you take your life in your hands and come forward as a witness against someone who is likely to retaliate in some way, it may be admirable, but not always wise.
