Yes, but current Yankee Stadium was sort of neutered after the disastrous 1974 renovation. It's full of memories but the real ties to the past were virtually destroyed then. I think few will really miss what they call Yankee Stadium today, and the new stadium looks amazing.

I remember when comiskey was knocked down. The home of shoeless joe jackson was gone forever. Such a sad day. The replacement stadium while OK is not the same.

Announcement at the stadium does not look promising for the game happening. Yanks organization is "evaluating its options."
